David and the Media: Television
David has extensive experience in the media, with appearances on BBC Breakfast TV (above) with his friend Phil Coppell, where they talked about The Beatles and copyright issues, completely flummoxing Susanna Read and joking with Bill Turnbull.
He has also appeared on local TV in Liverpool, BAYTV, with Tim Quinn
He has also been asked to appear on Japanese TV, explaining the meaning behind the song of “Penny Lane”.
David has appeared on local television on behalf of the Beatles Story, when connected to an exhibit or a story. Below he is with then MD of The Beatles Story, Martin King as they examine the original lyrics to The Beatles song “Help!”.
David has also appeared on other local programs for both the BBC and ITV networks.
David and the Media: Radio
David has appeared regularly on local radio, especially BBC Radio Merseyside over the last 20 years. He was trained in planning, editing and presentation on BBC Radio Merseyside 30 years ago, so is used to appearing on radio programs, both live and pre-recorded.
He has also appeared on several other local BBC Regional Stations around the UK.
David has also been a guest on several US radio shows when he is visiting the US for Beatles conventions.
